About Cornell Women's Rugby

Pride, Intensity, Teamwork Bleed Red

Cornell Women’s Rugby Football Club (CWRFC) is an intercollegiate club rugby union team with high aspirations to succeed at the national level. The team is comprised of more than 30 undergraduate student athletes who are from varied backgrounds, body shapes and sizes, and have different levels of athletic experience. However, all teammates share their love of the Game.

The club fields both competitive and developmental teams to accommodate players of every skill level, from novice to international-caliber athletes. To prepare for match competition, everyone trains together three days a week. CWRFC competes in the Ivy Rugby Conference against the traditional Ivy League schools. CWRFC also attends many other tournaments throughout the Northeast, especially in the spring season.

CWRFC is a student-run organization directed by elected officers. Our team’s success depends on our dedicated coach, student leaders, and the generous support of our alumni association, Faded Red.
